Multichannel marketing is becoming an imperative as the number of channels has grown. And rather than weakening email marketing, the proliferation of channels has made the channel even more dynamic and powerful. At the same time, as the number of channels available to marketers has grown, a multichannel approach to marketing has become a more urgent best practice if a campaign is to have significant reach and impact.
Recently, I listened to a webinar hosted by the agency Awareness. It was a funny and fascinating interview of Chris Brogan, author of the NY Times best-selling book, "Trust Agents."
I believe some of the themes I heard are very much in line with the Responsys culture, with the way in which we strive to service customers and ultimately why we continue to be such a successful company. The concepts tie in with the Responsys Services approach nicely, but more importantly, they are good for all of us marketers to think about as we tweet, blog, chat, text, and generate information in this new digital environment.
